A sponsorship is a designation that identifies you as an organization that supports the community. It provides you with all of the benefits that are associated with the event. Also, it is tax deductible as allowed by law.
The 21st Annual North Coast Challenge 5 mile run, 2 mile walk and Kids Fun Run Presented by Celebrate Westlake committee is busy cultivating media coverage and planning associated events, and as a sponsor you can expect publicity. Based on your support level, your logo or corporate ID can appear on various materials associated with the event – hats, T-shirts, applications, etc. Your logo or corporate ID will also be displayed on signage throughout the area on that day. The sponsorship agreement form must be returned by Friday, August 6, 2011 to include your company in this important event. Please consider joining North Coast Challenge 5 mile run, 2 mile walk and Kids Fun Run team to support the community and increase the quality of life for our citizens.
Sponsorship Overview
The 21st Annual North Coast Challenge 5 mile run, 2 mile walk and Kids Fun Run Presented by Celebrate Westlake event promises to be another premier event on the west side of Cleveland. Its goal is to promote good health and wellness throughout the community, as well as raise funds for services and organizations. All family members are encouraged to participate in an activity level that is appropriate to them.
There are few events in the area that offer the same attraction and draw participants the way the North Coast Challenge 5 mile run, 2 mile walk and Kids Fun Run event does. A hometown atmosphere, community pride, involvement, tradition, local corporate promotion and wise use of donated funds all work to form an event that truly benefits all who are involved.
- Participants are comprised of families cheering walkers, runners and children as well as visiting the Health and Fitness Exposition before and after the race. Most of the participants are from the west side of Cleveland, although approximately 30% are from other areas. Attendance in 2010 was over 1500 people.

Recognition as a sponsor is key. Every level of sponsorship contains a recognition factor. Clearly, a newspaper sponsor like the Sun Newspapers group offer high visibility. Recognition as a supporter of a community-based event, that is fitness and family orientated, creates a corporate image of caring. Because this is an established well-attended event, there is little risk. Prominent personalities and corporate community leaders have served as anchors of this event and will continue to do so.

North Coast Challenge 5 mile run, 2 mile walk and Kids Fun Run Presented by Celebrate Westlake has positioned itself as a community fundraiser, not just a race.
